Abby’s Ponte Vedra Margaritas

April 27, 2011

It has taken me a few times to bring myself to make a new post on my blog. I think it is somewhat fitting that I am posting a cocktail, as I think I will need quite a few of them in the days to come. 🙂 I haven’t really made anything else in the past month either and with our move coming up I’m sure I will be MIA a little bit longer.

Backstory on the margaritas – my friend Abby made us these at a girls beach weekend a few years ago and they were a hit. It is not your traditional margarita as it uses orange juice, but it really is a treat. I hope she doesn’t mind me sharing with everyone!

Ponte Vedra Margaritas

  • 2 parts Rose’s lime juice
  • 2 parts Sweet and sour mix (I used Rose’s)
  • 1 part Orange juice
  • 1 part Tequila (Abby of course recommends Patron)
  • 1 part Triple sec

Shake or stir with ice and serve with salt-rimmed glasses if you prefer. I added a splash of grenadine the last time I made these as it was on hand.

Hope you try these with Cinco de Mayo coming up!!
